September 2025 Newsletter: Fall Family Update

Nov 06, 2025

Many of you have been with us since the beginning, since we first felt that stirring in our hearts to step out and follow God's call to go into full time mission work. It's hard to believe it's been over ten years now since we joined Pathway Discipleship, ten years of trusting, learning, planting and harvesting! What an awesome journey of experiencing God's faithfulness and provision for our family. And what a lot has changed in our family over the last ten years!

*below is one of our first family ministry photos!

When God called us into mission work, our four children ranged in age from a baby to 11 years old. We felt a deep burden to disciple new believers, to reach those who would never set foot in a church, and to see God’s love transform lives from the inside out.

At the same time, we knew our most important disciples were the four children God had entrusted to us. From baby Miles to our tween Harry, our desire was to see our children follow God and join us in the mission, serving together as a family.

Today, we want to give you a more personal glimpse into our growing family—so you can see how God is working not only in our ministry but also in our home. For us, these are not two separate areas of life, but a unified calling of "good works” that God has prepared for us to walk in.

This fall, our oldest two children, Harry and Molly, are both attending a small Christian College called Geneva, located in Beaver Falls, PA. Harry's internship at Restored Church last year has solidified his desire to serve the Lord in ministry and he is pursuing a degree in Biblical Studies. He is also running on the cross-country team and really appreciates the camaraderie of being part of a team. His favorite class so far is Middle Eastern Studies, where he is learning about the eastern religions and how to reach those people groups.

Molly is studying design communication, which allows her to grow her art skills and still take some Bible classes. She loves living on campus and is making many new friends!

Our house feels a little empty with both of them gone, but luckily, we still have Miles and Luke here to keep us busy! Luke is 17 now and entering his Junior year of High School at Ephrata Mennonite School. He has just bought his first car and is loving life! He stays busy with Jiu Jitsu, student council, his part time job and helping to lead our Sunday night Discovery Bible Study here in our home.

Miles is 11 now and in the 5th grade! He is into drawing, reading and playing minecraft with his friends. We love having more time to invest in our younger boys and are planning some fun family outings for this fall that will bond us all together.

Please pray for Joy and I as we parent these four kids God has blessed us with. Pray for strength and wisdom to balance family and ministry and for a healthy family unit to reach the lost around us together.

We'd love to hear from you, are faithful partners and supporters! If you have a prayer request this fall, please respond back to us and let us know how we can be lifting you up in prayer! Thank you for your love and support of our ministry and family!

Love,

Bill and Joy Gibson
